Kursi ini juga mengekspos kualitas craftsmanship yang tinggi dari perajin mebel yang mengerjakan kursi ini. Tiap elemen kayu dan sambungannya, resin bening, dan dowel penguat sambungan yang terlihat jelas sangat rapi, membuat kekuatan kursi ini terletak pada detailnya.
This chair is inspired by the long process behind the creation of furniture often taken for granted. The chair attempts to depict how craftsmen turn raw materials into the final product.
To give chairs a clean and neat appearance, the joint system, which is one of the most important parts of a chair, is usually hidden. However, In the Exploded Chair, the joint system is visible. This is done by using solid wood combined with clear resin. Dowels used to strengthen the system are also visible.
By accentuating parts typically hidden, the Exploded Chair portrays how sketches are turned into a real products.
